Greetings!!

Well I'm just about finished with my latest prop for Poser.  Currently rendered in Poser Pro using the FireFly render engine.  Any thoughts so far?! =D

Very nice jarhead999! I own two (real) KBar knives w/sheath, one of them is a machete actually and the other is pretty close to this model but the tip is angular not curved. Great knives...great representation! The materials look pretty accurate, good job!

Don't think I would use it in my type of renders, but it looks great.  Nicely done.

Hard to see in the image - does it have a serrated edge and a blood groove?  I assume the R/L ones do, but I may be thinking of something else.  The scabbard looks good. :)

good job, although you should consider including a texture variant of the traditional stacked leather washer handle. always preferred those to the newer plastic ones, and its much more distinctive.

Greetings!!

Thanks for the comments!!

EyeOrderChaos_v2.0 - Yeah I have a few KA-BARs myself and actually used them with the aid of my digital calipers to recreate them in 3D, so for the most part they're pretty accurate in measurements.

Gremalkyn - Yeah they do have the 'blood groove' modelled in, but I didn't model the serrated edge to spare the poly count.  I model for smoothing pipelines so I only use quads and sometimes that eats up poly counts on tricky surfaces. =]

Blackhearted - I went through and played around with some textures.  I had intended on doing a wood handle as well.  I will include two 1k photoshop build files, one for the sheath and one for the knife so people can easily tweak and make their own textures from it.

Again thanks for the comments, I still have a little tweaking to do but should be warping up here shortly!! =D
