Subject: Re: Anarchy Outfit Right Glove - Is a Fix Available or Not?

TheOwl68 ( ) posted Sun, 01 July 2012 at 12:24 PM · edited Mon, 27 January 2025 at 7:09 PM

Hello there,

I'm writing regarding my purchase of Anarchy for V4, A4 & G4 Order #: 112124442, order date 04-28-2012, of which I had emailed RPublishing twice about a severe geometry issue with one of the gloves.

The last update I had from RPublishing was on May 9, 2012 when they let me know that the person who was going to fix this had something come up. I have not heard anything since.

So I would like to know whether I can expect a fix for this item or not. A simple yes or no will do at this point. I'm new to vending myself, and I'm sure RPublishing has lots of customer issues which come up, but a further email update, or a solid answer by now, would have been nice. I feel like I've been forgotten about =( so not happy.

Hope to hear back from someone soon.

Thanks,

Jude (TheOwl68)

Hello Jude,

The Anarchy product was updated on 5/21/12 and an ebot email was sent to all the buyers that day.  Sorry you didn't get the notice. My guess is that the ebot got caught in a spam filter or junk folder. Please redownload the Anarchy zip files from your "Item List" (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/account.php?ItemList=Y) and let the files in the new zips overwrite the old ones.

Best Regards,
RPublishing

Hello RPublishing,

Thanks for letting me know about the ebot which I missed. I just downloaded Anarchy and let the new files overwrite the old ones, but unfortunately I'm still getting the same geometry issue with the right glove. I tried refreshing the folders and restarting the program a couple of times, but no joy.

I wonder if this could be a bug in DAZ Studio 4 Pro (64-bit) or perhaps it is just my system/program? I will do some research and, if you like, I would be happy to report back to you any information I can find out about this kind of geometry issue occuring in DAZ Studio 4 Pro.

Thanks again for your assistance, I do appreciate it.

Best Regards,

Jude

It sounds like the old file isn't really getting replaced, because that last update on the 21st was specifically fixing the Daz Studio/right glove problem....which is now working properly on our end...but, we are not using the Pro version and may also have a different computer setup. So, yes, I'd greatly appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

Thanks!

I am on it =) Hope I can help out. Thanks again =)

Hey Jude, did you make sure you deleted all the previously installed copies of the product?  Including geometries, .cr2 files, etc.?  I specifically addressed that problem with the glove before, so let me know if you continue to have the problem so I can make sure it got uploaded properly etc.  :-)  Thanks so much!!

Rhi

Hi Rhiannon,

Thanks for your message~ I originally followed the instructions above as per RPublishing to let the new files overwrite the old ones.

I just gave your advice a try- I removed all the Anarchy files and re-installed the outfit from the new zips I downloaded a few days ago, but I'm still getting the exact same geometry issue with the right glove. I am using DAZ Studio 4 Pro (64-bit) and RPublishing did say they are not using this version of DAZ, so that could be the main problem.

I will be doing some research on this to help out if I can.  If you learn anything else, please let me know. I'll keep you posted as well =)

Best Regards,

Jude

Okay, here's a screenshot from Daz Studio 4.0 Pro ... it seems to be working okay for me.  Are you using Windows 7?

In the past, Windows 7 has messed me up when I'm trying to replace files in Poser ... for some reason it caches the old files and won't replace them with new ones, it will pull the cached files, even if you've deleted them.  I wanted to pull my hair out one day, until someone showed me what it was doing.

Hey Rhiannon,

Thanks for posting this screenshot~ Yes, I am indeed using Windows 7. I will be so thrilled if this is where the issue lies and not with DAZ Studio or the geometry, for that matter.

Just so you know, I only get the geo issue when I try to pose V4's right forearm in certain ways (I think it's the x or z axis that doesn't want to play nice) such as when I attempt using the 'twist' dial for the forearm. I will see about posting a screenshot for you if it will help, just let me know.

In the meantime, can you advise me on the best way to clear out the caches so I can re-intstall the outfit and give it another try? There's no rush, whenever you have time would be great.

Thanks again, I appreciate your assistance =)

Best Regards,

Jude
