hi all,

im trying to make my own conforming clothing and am struggling a bit, every time i load my m4 figure into setup room and start deleting bones <i only need a few, hip abdomen and rthigh> poser ends up crashing <not at the same point, just randomly>  has any one produced just a bare bone setup for m4 because this is starting to get annoying. i have poser 2012 win 7 64 bit.

Do you have SR3?

If you don't, get it and start over.

If you do, then I suspect you have a video driver problem. I don't get crashes, EVER.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

yup, video drivers are likely to be the culprit, i updated to the latest full release for my GT430 a couple of months back, and deleteing bones, moving from set-up back to pose room resulted in CTD on ALL versions of Poser i have installed ( P7, P8, PP2010 and PP2012)

went to the nVidia site and grabbed the latest beta one ( at the time) , worked flawlessly after installing.

In my experience, deleting the bones named Body or CenterOfMass or something similar from within the hierarchy editor, usually leads to crashing Poser 2010 sooner or later, at the latest when leaving the setup room. If i do not want them, i remove them from the cr2 with a text editor before loading the cr2 into the setup room. They do not seem to be particularly special or required, they just cannot be removed from within poser. Poser 2012 might be different, though.
