Hi!

I'm looking for long realistic hair styles. I did a Rendo search and saw hundreds of hair styles I've never seen on real women-in colors I rarely see! What I am looking for is  more long, flowing styles-with realistic non-metallic colors. In my render I'm using the Radiant Jaguar hair-but there seem to be few similar alternatives. Anyone?

It's one of my Megan Fox morphs-with the Artemis Dress-and a Greek background HDRI. The RJ hair is fine-but has few to no morphs. Cut bobs, purple and spiky hair don't really go with this theme.

Thanks!

I have the Reby Sky hair-which seems like it should work-but does not render very realistically.

I have purchased a lot of hairs and find myself gravitating more and more to shoulder length or short hairs as they seem to look the best to me. Nevertheless, I thought I'd give you my opinion. I use the hairs from 3Dream & Mairy a lot as they have so many morphs built in. You might look at their Akaste hair. The promos are rather basic and unfatering, but I think they do this on purpose. Akaste can be lengthened with supplied morphs to the shoulder. They have this "behind the ear" morph I really like as it uncovers a lot of the face. I posted a rough image of it. That may be one of my shader in the image, I don't recall.

They also just released a hair over at Daz I bought on sale but have not done much with it yet.The style might be more of what you're looking for. It's also on sale still.

I'm curious to see what others recommend.

If you are looking for conforming hair, Kozaburo made some very nice free comforming hair styles. Which figure is the hair for?

Here is an example of one of Kozaburo's conforming hair fiures. This hair was originaly for Jessi, but I converted it for Antonia.

Thanks Les!

I'll play around with that one. It is for V4-Weight Mapped, btw.

Here's the Marja hair you recommended.

If you have the Reby Sky hair, have you tried using SG's subdivision script on it (  I won't insult you by asking if you tinkered with the materials since I think that is almost the first thing you do with everything  :) ) it isn't widely known, but the Reby hair was one of the early Daz experiments with subdivision and ongoing LOD stuff, so it is not as high poly as most hairs of that style and always looked pretty bad in Poser.

Also, it might be a bit wavier than you want, but the Tatiana Hair can look pretty good as well. http://www.daz3d.com/shop/tatiana-hair

Hi TessaLynne! Thanks for the tip-I've added that hair to my list-looks really good! I've played with materials-but not tried SnarlyGribbly's subdivide script on the Reby Hair-probably worth trying,
