Subject: Gift Certificate will not apply

Bendinggrass ( ) posted Thu, 11 October 2012 at 11:50 AM · edited Tue, 29 October 2024 at 2:19 PM

Hello.

I have a gift certificate of $13.00 which I tried to apply to a purchase just now, however it applied only $6.00 to the cost. Could someone help me with this.

Thanks.

Randy

Hello,

I have checked your account and I am showing that you only have $6.19 in Render Rewards available at this time.  I do see you had $7.01 from January but remember that if these are not used before the exp date they are no longer valid.

Please let me know if you need any other assistance.

Thanks

TinaK

Hi Tina,

I bought a pile of things last month (please check, $123.75 on Sept 24 in Order Number 112199786) and I was sent a notice on Oct 01, stating that I had $13.20 to be used before October ended. It probably shows the figure you indicated because I attempted to complete a purchase earlier, leading to this thread. You can also see I made no purchase after my Sept 24 purchase.

The three items presently in my Shopping Cart are the items I tried to purchase today. When the attempted purchase did not indicate the full amount of $13.20 going to the purchase I attempted to reverse the transaction.

Clearly, there should be a spicefic amount as a Gift Certificate issued due to the amount of $123.75 being spent. What is that amount?

I think the problem may also be due to the fact that I entered the code in the wrong place. Is there also a way for you to look at my attempted purchase today?

Thanks.

Randy

Tina,

Are you there?

Almost 2 days now since I wrote. This is not a complex situation to fix. It is easy to verify what I told you.

Let's start off with this: What is the gift certificate amount due from my purchase of $123.75?

Everything follows from that. Please hurry, as I want to complete my purchase.

Thanks.

Randy

Hello,

If you go to your my account page and clicks on Render Rewards you will see that you have 6.19 to use before the end of Oct (render rewards are 5% that is where this dollar amount comes from)  You had a render reward that was issued for Jan of 2012 for $7.01 (which you used in Jan) those two total 13.20 but the second one I just told you about is no longer valid plus you used it during the time it was valid so I'm not sure what you got stating you had 13.20??  You would get a notice about the 6.19 and if you did recieve an email that had a total of 13.20 could you please forward it via email to me so we can see that??? I'm thinking that you got a notice about your Oct render rewards that had a link to your render rewards page (on the my account page) and when you clicked to go there you added  and got the 13.20 but in reality you only have 6.19 to use so that is why when you went to apply that code it only put in 6.19 not 13.20 cause you doesn't have 13.20 available.

Thanks

TinaK

In cases like this its sometiems helpful to just go log in as the member and see exactly what they are seeing to understand what is going on, that is what I did here and immediately saw the problem, not sure if you did as well but just as an fyi sometimes that is helpful to make sense of it

That makes sense.

Thanks.

My mistake as I thought it was a 10% gift certificate based on the last months purchase.

It seems it is 5% from what you are telling me.
