Subject: Imported Poser Objects

I wonder why and how can i import an object and change the material like with poser.

For example i got a truck in poser and i can change the hood, exhaust, lights and tires,....piece by piece.

But when i export is as a obj file to bryce 7, i can only change the materials in a group of parts and not piece by piece as in poser.

what have i done wrong?

Have you thought about using DAZ Studio for importing Poser models? There is a bridge to  and from Bryce for DAZ Studio which works quite well if you have the latest versions of both Bryce and Studio.

Like Dyret I also use DS to get Poser stuff into Bryce. I do a regular Save from Poser (.CR2), load that into DS 4.5 and bridge that yo Bryce7.

But you can also try using the .OBJ Group Import option (instead of .OBJ Mat Group) when importing into Bryce.

And if your puter isnt up to getting the bridge to work you could ask Rashad Carter for the link to his sollutinion for exporting whole DAZ Studio scenes to Bryce. He will give the link to you at the DAZ Bryce forum.
