Also turn your Bucket size down.
When rendering the default is 32, change this to 10. It helps as Poser isn't trying to grab as much and happily carries on it's way.
All the best.

It's You!, You have all the weapons you need., Now Fight!
In the properties tab of a hair, turn off the visible in raytracing and it will switch off the light emiter at the same time.
All the best.

When reducing bucket size?
Do it as follows.
32
16
8
4
Like textures maps that work best at :
8196x8196
4096x4096
2048x2048
1024x1024
512x512
Poser is not liimited in texture size as DS is.
But? Larger texture will consume more RAM.
But? Texture catching will reduce memory load. => In general preferences.
For heavy hair it is best to remove the Light emitter check.
Incoming light does not get diffused by the hair this way.
And as hair is omnidirectional, its light diffusing is mostly not contributing to anything in the scene.
Happy Posering

Hey guys.. I'm hoping someone can help me with a render prob in poser 9. Some times when using SSS in a render, the render will complete stop or gets a small bit started and stops. Pretty much like it is done. Sadly when only having two characters, hair, and background prop seems to much for the system. does anyone know what could be causing that? Lack of memory maybe?
Thanks :)
