Subject: Do people still the Toon Generation by 3DUniverse or do you prefer other toon fi

I know there are toon lovers here also, so I'd like to post this message here also.

I’m almost done with my current modeling projects for the ToonGen, one more set of clothing and that’s it. I really like to work with the ToonGen, it’s a great figure, but I’m wondering if there is still interest in this figure, do people still use it and want new stuff for it?

Since 3DUniverse closed it’s forum, it’s hard to get feedback from users and reach them easily, that’s why I’m posting this here (and at other places perhaps as well).

I’ve still got some ideas for content for the ToonGen, but I’m also considering creating things for other toon figures. I know Genesis is quite popular these days, I don’t use it myself, but see that it has toon figures as well, but there are other figures as well. So, the big question is should I continue with creating clothes and other content for the ToonGen, or pursue something else instead? If you stil use ToonGen and are interested in new content, now is the time to let me know grin and of course…... suggestions are welcome, not saying they will be granted definitely, but I’m open to it. I'm hoping to get a bit of clear picture what toon lovers are into these days when it comes to toon figures.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

I like Toon Generation.  I LOVE the baseball pack he recently did.  I will buy anything I might reasonably have use for.  (The soldier stuff is not my thing.  It looks nice; I just don't foresee doing toon Napoleonic renders ever.)

I would like a Toon Generation long dress.  Of the sort just about every Poser female gets right away.  For some reason, Toon Generation doesn't have one. Even the lady Pilgrim is wearing a historically inaccurate short dress.

I want a simple floor length dress.  The kind that can be a princess dress, a wedding dress, etc.  Long sleeves, with material zones to make short sleeves, sleeveless, strapless, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking into doing a long dress for the ToonGen, but that is not an easy task. The reason you've only seen short dresses is because those conform without a problem. To do a long dress, only the top can be conformed, for the rest you need to build in handles that control the dress. I've played with it a while, but failed to do it, I'm not experienced with long dresses and need to learn a few things before I can be succesful. But to be very honest, there's a million things I'd like to do and learn.......

Not sure if you looked at my store here (it has 2 ToonGen items for now) or the one at CP (has lot's of ToonGen items and more to come), links in my signature.

I know about the issue with conforming long skirts, but didn't realize it was that much of a problem.  I'm not that wild about "handles" for long skirts.  Especially for toons, I think morphs would be more useful.  A sit morph, a kneel morph, step left and right morphs. Hide the legs if necessary.

Bonus points if the skirt is cloth room friendly.
