Freebie not necessary, and I know Stonemason has some city blocks, think at DAZ, just don't know if he's got one run down enough. I go take a look though. I'll just search on Stonemason. THanks.

(Edit) Nope. I want an older residential area, one and two story houses, not industrial. Industrial on one side of the street maybe okay, but I need front and back yards, driveways to garages, an alley, maybe. I thought at one time Stonemason was working on one, maybe never completed.

There is an old backyard prop at poserworld. Trekkeigrrrl.dk has some props you can add to any old city you find to make it worse. It could be you take some normal houses and "olden" them up with different textures and props. cgtextures might have what you need for that. Also look for halloween houses. They are usually kinda run down.

I've got the PoserWorld backyard, but that's a little too much of the "Old downtown" area. Going to look at some of Dryjack on sharecg, don't remember exactly what he had, thinking something there might fit. Been playing with other stuff I've got, a lot of no way, a few maybe, but so far, the look I'm after eludes me. Then, it could be just me too.

there's a product called trashstreet somewhere.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Daz is currently giving away "the garbage pile" looks like a fenced in yard with a bunch of junk left there.

Quote - I think Stonemason has what you're looking for. Funny thing is, I didn't buy the set because I didn't want what looked like a rundown part of town.
I'm pretty sure it was Stonemason, but I think after he threw out some teasers at daz, he stopped working on it. Residential street, and I think he had in mind two texture sets, one for a nice neighborhood and one for a less than nice neighborhood.
What I have in mind, if anyone has an old "company town", when the companies built blocks of identical single or two family homes, then after they left, the slumlords came in and everything went to hell, a lot of them now are being brought back to respectable, I'm thinking the time just before they began to be maintained again.
"Rubberville", in Racine was one such town, built by the rubber company that was there, then sold to a group of "investors" (slumlords en masse), and eventually sold to individual owners and repaired, maintained, now a pretty nice area, if somewhat crowded. No stores in the area, the old company store burned, never replaced, just residential now.

You can put something like that together with this freebie:
http://www.sharecg.com/v/64153/browse/11/Poser/Terraced-Houses
It'll probably need some work on the textures.
Otherwise. check out:

Nope. After a lot of searching a lot of places, I've come to the conclusion I'm going to have to make it. Lots of inner city available, but nothing like what I have in mind. What I have in mind was probably a fashionable district for the working people, maybe a hundred years ago, now is something less than fashionable.
Being more descriptive, I have in mind one north/south street, narrow, narrow grass between the street and walks. East/west street at each end, the streets can end there, I only need one block with residences on both sides. To the east of the home on the east side, normal size lots, railroad tracks and a siding, doesn't have to be any more than the right of way with the tracks on top, any industry would be to the north and out of view. An alley between the backs of the lots and the tracks, gravel road envisioned. Run down and ricketty fences around the lots, porch railings needing attention or replacement, To the east of the tracks, the landscape going into a brush/wooded area. More suburban slum than city slum.
Working as fast as I can. Someday, maybe.

Looking for a complete scene, doesn't have to have any interior detail, but with streets needing work, uneven sidewalks, the general appearance of being run down. Not an apartment block, but an older residential area, less than manicured lawns, houses needing repairs and the like. I thought I'd seen one somewhere, but like other things I wasn't interested in at the time, now don't know where it was or by who.
