Subject: Site Notifications?

Irish ( ) posted Mon, 04 February 2013 at 8:20 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 4:31 PM

Is there a way to turn these off...I have an awful lot and would like to turn them off as I don't read them.

Thanks.

:)

If you click on the little round thingy beside the site mail envelope (upper right corner)  there is a check box that's supposed to stop it.  Don't count on it working tho'.  I still get them off & on.

There is no thingy there right now so I will wait until I get more and then maybe it will show up.

Thanks Ravyns!

Guess it looks more like a speech balloon then a thingy.. LOL .. It & the envelope are so small that I don't even notice them unless I need to send a site mail.  Good thing Rendo sends mail notifications or I'd never know I had any.

Every time one of my favourite Artists posted (correct tense???) a new artwork I got a notice in this little balloon. There were keen artists: every day a new picture. Every time I thought there were new comments. I didn't find a button to stop it, this "on"-"off"-buttons in "my favourite artists" didn't work. So I deleted my favourite artists completely. But's not the best way, isn't it?... :-(

Try going to (my gallery subscriptions)

The checkboxes indicate which sections you are subscribed to. Subscribing to a gallery will mean you receive an email each time an image is uploaded to that gallery. Make your changes and click on "Save Changes" to alter your subscriptions.

Untick those that you don't want and save.

It can take a little bit for the system to kick in that you have made the change. :)

The fault appear's to lie on screen when you choose to add a favorite artist.

It state's

Manage Favorites

You have chosen to add ???? to your list of favorite artists. Would you like to be notified by email whenever ???? posts an image to the gallery? But there is no option to answer YES OR NO - so you are automatically signed up to receive mail. This appears to be a fault that should be reported to Admin.Hope this help's

I agree with Irish, I hate having those on site when I also get an email.  Frankly  it should be either/or but not both.

Hello,

Wanted to be sure and update you on this so you wouldn't think we forgot about you but that was just weird wording there meaning that if you added someone to your favorite artist list it would default to YES you would then start receiving notifications for that fav artist, not really a "yes" or "no" there but I went ahead and had the techs change the wording a bit to make more sense. But you can still go in your fav artist list under your MY GALLERY page to turn notifications off and on for whatever favs you want but when you add someone it will default to YES so you will automatically start getting notifications when they upload as part of that favs feature.

Hope this helps and sorry for the delay in response.

Stacey
