Subject: brain fart time about cycles sky domes

unbroken-fighter ( ) posted Tue, 05 March 2013 at 11:08 PM · edited Mon, 18 November 2024 at 1:08 AM

normaly i do not render in cycles and i lost the tut i had on skydomes that actualy worked

i have hundreds of hdri images and need to use 1 for a sky for a render

so i need to ask others how do i make the dome?

im rendering in 2.63a for this one because its where i started the scene and i dont want to transfer it

i guess i should learn how to render better instead of just modeling

I dont use a "dome" as I would in poser! for cycles goto the world settings, pick background (if its not already set) then on the colour chip is a drop down I use envoiroment for hdr images. if you want to rotate it etc uses the nodes and add a mapping

hope that helps

i knew it had to be something simple that my brain had puhsed out

i wish i could still code a setup for the 2.49 interface with the tools of 2.66

does anyone sell an external harddrive for my brain?

now i just need to map the ground plane to get it to what the customer wants

and yes heddheld it was helpful even to me
