Subject: Any interest in a pier on a lake?

I started this pier a while back and just came across it today. Any interest in me putting it in my store? It has a ton of work go into it still, so I want to make sure it is a good idea to finish it.

Looks good to me :)

Course, all your models do... so don't just go on my say so!

I'll buy it.

I'd at the very least bookmark (AKA wishlist) it. I'd find a few uses for it.

I will buy it.

I like it, but I would also need a short pier, for those folks who need to take a long walk.

What I am working on can be seen here:

I want to do a noir story, and for that I need a short pier (I have the fog already)

Iam acually thinking of it being the next version of 81 City Blocks with out the blocks, just to make you wonder....

:-)

The opposite of a short walk:  I could use it to duplicate Julianne Hough's "That Song in My Head" video.

On a slightly similar... well, watery... theme to this pier, an iron Chicago-type bascule type bridge would be a nice addition, down the line ;)

Hi Chris,

Bridges are fun to build but I would think there is not much call for one like that.

Do you live in Chicago?

The pier looks great! Would work in modern times or 19th century.

Are you hinting at a city blocks set as a whole wharf/docks set?! That would be awesome!

Nope, Edinburgh ;)

We've got a couple of nice bridges here too though...

I thought a bridge like that'd be perfect for car chase scenes :)

Hi Chris,

You been to the center of the earth?

Always loved that movie when I was a kid.

My thinking on the Pier set is a beach scene with dunes and dune grass going up and back from the water to the dome over the dune to hide the edge the pier extending out into the water. with a skydome for the backdrop.

Not sure if I am going to finish it as I am having way too much fun working on these city blocks! :-)

Over 400 parts on the Pier model and it needs a ton of work.

Time will tell I guess...

Tom

Nope... not made that journey from Edinburgh to Iceland, where I believe the actual descent route was meant to be (?) in that 1950s film version (and the original book - although I think that started off in Hamburg instead of Edinburgh).

Maybe one day... ;)

Either way very beautiful place!

Very much so :)

Currently very wet though. Let's just say that BB's puddled pavement shaders would tend to represent the norm here... the squirrels are born with gills ;)
