Does it happen when you just anti-alias the image, or when you actually render it? I think for cartoon preview we are just suppose to anti-alias the the document, not render it.

Correct, anti-alias the image.
You can render when you are using a 3D scene, but it is less good at reading background pictures. That was not the purpose of this FAST cartoon option.

I know this may sound slighted retarded...but exactly how to anti-alias the image without rendering? Keep in mind that I'm doing this as an animation...so I'm using the MAKE MOVIE option...and while you can turn anti-alias on when using the preview renderer, I still do not get true anti-aliased imagery without rendering in preview mode. Maybe I'm just missing something here.
Ooop! Well as it turns out...this is in fact a bug. I'm just apparently the only fool who's found it thus far. Something wonky happens when you try to use the preview renderer to create a movie while in comic book mode. So if you are reading this thread and experiencing the same issue...it's been reported to Smith Micro as of 1 June 2013 and at this point, it's more likely than not that it won't get fixed till SR2 releases for Poser10/PP2014.
Well at least I'm not crazy, right? Ha, ha. Special thanks to Nerd3D for his assistance in checking for the bug...and helping stomp on it.

I love this new cartoon preview render. But oddly, when I actually render, my background imported image sort of gets screwed up. It looks fine in my work space and has comic book view applied. But when rendering, the image loses it's comic book look and then appears to have the brightness and contrast turned up on it till it's about 50% faded. It's quite odd. This only happens in Preview render with comic book mode. Does anybody know how to fix this??? Or is this a wonderful bug I've discovered??
