Yup.  I really like the makeover (Judy type), but I suspect she won't satisfy the feminists.  She looks like a real woman, capable of bearing children and washing diapers.  Wifey, in other words.

The original (Vicky type) looks like a man with tits. Unsuitable for womanly activities, thus a perfect feminist role-model.

lol - compared to the new Monster High dolls - that have beat Barbie in sales both in Europe and the US since they launched in 2010 - Original Barbie looks like an Amazonian lard-ass compared to them.

(I have grade-school aged nieces. Thats why I know this stuff)

Stereotype much? Incidentally, the 1950s were 60 years ago.

Wow.... fugly Barbie. I bet that would be a great seller. Wasn't there an old Simpsons episode where Lisa tried to create a "realistic" looking doll?

A "real" woman satisfies the feminists just fine.  "Wifey" is also fine, it's a choice the women's movement was about, not shaming women out of the home.  I have a Women's Studies degree and there have been a lot of mis-information out about feminism.  Just had to add my 2 cents worth.

The "real" woman Barbie, won't catch on ... but it's nice to see.
