Subject: How to add runtimes to Poser 2014

jackhalsey ( ) posted Sat, 03 August 2013 at 6:03 PM · edited Fri, 24 January 2025 at 2:02 PM

Hello

I have just purchased Poser 2014 and a ton of runtimes to add to it going back each edition to Poser 7.

I have tried adding the runtimes by clicking the plus mark and then adding them but some show up and some do not.

Is there another way to do this so Poser 2014 will recognize all my content?

Thank you

Online Now!

Scripts>Partners>Shaderworks>Import Runtimes 2014.

*This script will scan for and import all runtimes on your drive.  I am rather surprised that some runtimes are being recognized.  What OS are you running and where is PP2014 installed?

Which Windows?  If you are using Vista, Win7 or Win8, UAC will interfere with writing and reading into that folder.  Which means you may have difficulties seeing files and loading them.  For those OS versions, it is always best to chose the Poser installation which will create your content away from Programs Files.  The same applies to external runtimes; keep them away from that folder also.

Sorry Windows 7.  I did that sequence and then it said the script will kill the application and I clicked yes and Poser closed immediately.  Is this correct?

Thank you

I am trying to recall if this is the normal procedure.  It has been quite some time ago since I initially ran this script.
