Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:44 pm)
I have been using the OBJ import mostly from Poser to Blender for modeling clothing and then back into Poser with not much of a issue with scale if I leave everything at it's defualt. For the type of modeling that I am doing have not yet needed the character armature but I have seen in other forums that Poser does not transfer imported armature set ups that were rigged in Blender very well at least in Poser 2012 not sure about the current version. I have heard that thier is a set of scripts for exporting from Daz scenes to render in Blender cycles that has had very good success with keeping textures and applied materials from Daz Studio they can be found here https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/Home

I've been experimenting with various import and export options to move from Blender to Poser (or Daz) and found that I have better success using the Collada (.dae) format. The scale problem is not nearly as big with Collada and it keeps armatures more nearly in their respective places than the obj export (I believe this is mostly due to the scale change). My test models have only basic material applied.
Any comments?
