I bought one of the USB wireless gadgets, and I'm currently updating my newest machine.  But;; I've been having a problem using OpenGL, any window opens in the workspace and that small window is all that moves when you rotate or anything else, until I double click on the workspace.

Old version of JAVA was 6 point something, latest, which is now updating is 7, update 25.  Just wondering if this might take care of the OpenGL glitch.

Nope. This is probably an OpenGL driver issue - update your graphics card driver, or, if it is the latest driver, roll back to the previous one.

Hmm.  Seems to have been taken care of by something.  MIght have been the 100 windows updates that came down.  500+ megs.  Or it might show up again.  CHecked the drivers first, I got the latest already.  My second one is now downloading 410.8 megs of windows updates.  Only 87 of them.  THen I see about the "optional" that I forgot to check. 43 of those, no idea how big that's going to be.

I think it was those updates that solved it. 

I've been bothered by the same viewport thing for a long time (P9 in windows 7).  Every time I adjusted a parameter, I had to switch to Render then back to Preview tab to see the whole picture.

When I tried to verify it after looking at your question earlier today, I realized it wasn't happening any more!  (Just after the same set of Win updates.) 

Sort of frustrating because I wanted to give an Authoritative Response To Your Question, but still good to have an inconvenience fixed.
