Subject: Genesis Help

I have just upgraded to Poser 9, but have found that my V4.2 and all the morphs that with it don't work. I have been informed that the new Genesis models are compatible and now there is a V6.

Does this mean that all the clothes, hair etc. is now useless and that I have to spend 100's of £ or $ on new items or can they be converted somehow?

No. V4.2 will work fine with P9 and P10. Did you reinitialize your V4 morphs after the install?

Simply linking your old Poser runtime as an external will maintain functionality.  However, Genesis is still rather incapatible with Poser 9 as is.

Basicwiz, I installed everything from scratch (I had to rebuild the PC). The morphs I am talking about are the ++Morphs and the muscle morphs.

Did you specifically run the initialize batch files for the morphs?

Also, are the morphs installed in the same runtime as the V4 figure?

Basicwiz, the morphs are in the same runtime library as the main figure. But, I don't know what the batch files are, I just unzipped all the 4.2 files into the library.

The batch file should be in the runtimelibraries!Daz directory. Just click the bat file and then re-open Poser and try again.

I have PP12 (pro version of 9). Vicky runs fine. ??

In actuality, running Genesis thru the DSON plugin is like slowly pullling teeth compared to the rather fast moving Gen 4s ;)
