Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 27 5:49 pm)
One of the things I personally find hardest to do myself is proper lying down poses. So I might be interested in those. Both sleeping poses and more sensually lying down ones.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Animated poses. I'd say fairly simple natural movements, such as sitting down on a chair/sofa, standing up again, opening the fridge, reaching for something on a high shelf, opening and closing doors/cabinets, picking things up from a table/counter/ the floor.
You might need mocap hardware and software for that though.
Natural lying down poses, like Trekkie asks for, are also in short supply.
Or - provided you can find yourself a 2nd model - combined poses.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
I like poses that involve bought products eg holding a particular gun, riding particular motor bikes, driving particular cars, with poses that place the person or object in just the right place. inolving couples, eg helping climb up a steep hill or cliff, cling to ropes, well anything you think might be needed for an action comic really.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

I don't mind doing those kind of poses, but the problem is you limit the user to one particular product. I rather use generic products that put the figure in the basic pose and the artist can tweek them to get them in a better position. There's also the problem that everything isn't built to the same scale. I made some poses of V4 and V3 driving the same car, and their heads stick through the roof of the car. And it's a car that DAZ sold!

So I’ve got a friend in the acting/modeling business, and she’s expressed interest in helping with pose packs for Victoria. As in, posing for a camera in such a way that it could easily be duplicated on a V4/V5/V6 figure, and then posted or sold at Renderosity.
Not actually a bad idea! But it’s a crowded market. There are so many pose packs out there already, both here and at other places, that it would be difficult to do something like that without getting lost among pages and pages of poses.
What are most people looking for nowadays in terms of poses? As in, what can I recommend she do if she wanted to create a set of poses?
Thanks in advance. I know it’s a strange question.
