Subject: Poser 8 and Michael4

I’ve had Poser 8 since it came out and really never had any major problems with it. However, I had to reformat My hard drive and re install all my programs. When I loaded Poser 8, I had no problem until I tried to install Michael 4 on it again. It always installed right away and correctly. This time, it installed but it wont show up in poser. Is this a common problem?

You did not mention the OS you are installing Poser into.  If Vista, Win7, or Win8 and installing content into Program Files folder, then yes, you will have issues seeing it.

Are you sure you installed to the actual Poser content library - by default I think that was Smith MicroPoser 8 Content in your Documents folder.

Sorry, I have windows 7. Installing M4 was never a problem untill now. I'll re install both to the defualt folders and let you know. thanks.

After digging and sifting through folders, I found I had to add the M4 folder found in the newly made DAZ folder. All is well, I maybe able to sleep tonight after all. Thanks for you help

why poser 8?  Poser 9 was just on special for about 30 dollars recently.  Probably still is.

Neither the installer nor the zip should have yielded a DAZ folder. There's a RuntimeLibraries!DAZMichael 4 folder, but that should be merged into your existing Runtime folder.
