I have Vue 11.5 Infinite.  I understand it to come with five cows.  I have five extra 64bit machines which I can use as render cows.  If I understand the manual correctly, I would want to install a cow on my main workstation itself, so I could only use four of the others (although it says I can install render cow on as many as I like, only five will run at a time on my license).

     But what installer do I run?  In my 11.5 upgrade install folder, I see the app installer, and a rendercow exe which I tried but found that it is only an updater for an already-installed cow.  But I need to do a first-time install of render cow on each of these machines, as I have never used the network render feature before.  Do I need to get a render cow installer from e-on?  I don't see any such download available in my account.

     Oh, I went right past it in the manual and yet missed it.  Page 702, near the bottom:

     To install a RenderCow on a computer, insert the Vue 11.5 Application CD or locate your downloaded installation files on your disk, and double-click the "Install Vue11.app" icon on a Mac or the "Setup.exe" file on the PC. Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation. 

     When you run Setup.exe, you get the choice of installing the app (Vue itself) or a network render node.  That choice is later refined to distinguish between a render node and a render cow.
