Subject: RANT: Why no spandex or cloth stretching across breasts morphs/modelling?

dlfurman ( ) posted Fri, 01 November 2013 at 8:35 AM · edited Thu, 16 January 2025 at 6:33 PM

I am/have trying my hand at modelling.

It is slow going.

But for you wonderful, amazing folks who do put out products consistently and awesomely, and know your modeller, one question..why no spandex type or cloth stretching across the breasts modelling or included morphs?

Yes, I do have the morph brush, and I could use magnets, but then so do/could you...

So, how about folks can we pull those polys out and then put the item up for sale?

Add braces and straps glued to the underside of breasts to that rant

...and most of the hair models that can't be used with a lying position because they don't know what is gravity. lol

I have a set available for Genesis and Dawn (at their respective sites) to create a spandex body suit look for the figures using morphs. (Look for "No-Suit")

You can apply the chest morph for spandex under any outfit and it will deal with the "over clingy" tops

It's actually kind of a technical problem. You need to make morphs for 3 body parts every time. Then there is the setup to make them one dial. Now multiply this for all the breast sizes you want, because the existing morphs may cause weird tearing. It turns out to be harder than making a face morph in some ways.

Also, better quality body suits or cat suites have those built in, so people just use those instead of morphs.

If you start chopping models to make characters, you're more likely to make a composite model with only exposed skin showing through the catsuit.

And lastly... we all know 3D women prefer to be naked in temples with swords.

Attached Link: Jean-Luc's V4 stretch chest morph

Jean-Luc, a friend of mine, made this V4 chest morph for one of my comic heroines to fake her wearing a skintight catsuit.

Like Joe@HFG said, the morph had to be made for a specific full body morph or else if say I dialed down 'voluptuous' it would change the whole chest effect.

But, if someone were to sell such a product that had chest stretch for different chest sizes... I bet that would sell like hot cakes :)

Point me in that direction, cuz I must be blind or something.....

Just checked, V4's CHEST is one mesh actor. Not like V3's where you have a Right/Left Collars and Chest actor.

The Caperucita has a morph for a spandex chest, and with PP2012 (maybe Poser 10?) you can Copy Morphs From. I haven't tried it yet, but....might work?

I wonder if I may be permitted a small paroxysm of self promotion - all the QuickDresses apart from Antonia's have a 'monobust' morph, and my starting point when using them for modelling clothing is almost always with that set to 1.
