Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 04 4:13 pm)
Definitely a noticeable-to-significant improvement in terms of render times, overall, I'd say in PP2014.
Sorry, that's about as precise as I can be!
The progressive render option, for the purposes of fast, draft previewing, e.g. of IDL lighting results is also really useful, I'd say.
I am possibly seeing much less in the way of render artifacts when using IDL too, by the way... although that may even be since the last PP2012 service release.

What is likely to be the difference in render times between Poser 10 and Poser Pro 2014 (64 bit)?
I do not contemplate rendering large/complex scenes
System:
Win 7 64 bit
Core I7 processor
6 G ram
1/2 T SSD
I am aware that this is difficult, perhaps impossible, to answer with any degree of assurrance. I am looking for:
probably/ possibly and dramatic/significant/noticible/marginal
based on some user impressions
My apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, I did search.
Thanks
