Subject: POSER 2010 & POSER 9

I have both of these and am wonderig which is the best one to use, or are they the same. What real differences are there. Thanks in advance.............

The biggest glaring difference is that Poser 9 has SSS and PoserPro2010 does not.

It would help if I could read what you write. Blue on blue may have been great for Bobby Vinton, but not so much for the forums! 

But to answer your question: I have upgraded everytime Poser has upgraded and have personally found each step worth the money. My advice: Go with the latest release, Pro version.

Poser Pro can access all  you memory when rendering if used on a 64bit system and Poser 9 is limited in memory use. That for some people is reason enough to stick to the Pro version.

The link should give you more precise information.

Poser 9 is newer than Poser Pro 2010, and thus has more features.

 

As aeilkema stated, if you have a 64-bit version of Windows and more than 4gb of memory, Poser Pro 2010 will be able to take advantage of that, but as LaurieA stated, Poser 9 has SubSurfaceScattering; though not Gamma Correction which is limited to the "Pro" versions and Poser 10.

Plus Poser 9 has IDL and rendering speed improvements over Poser Pro 2010, so that's something to take into account.
