Think I saw an older version of Sulu's hair but can't find it on share CG, still looking though.

Also thought I saw a poser version of the tos enterprise here somewhere.

Very nice!  As a sidenote though, those old shader displays in your background monitors are all wrong.  There should be text in many of those images like in the link below:

cool thanks for the images, one way I got them to look like the actors is by a process of photos to textures then creating three textures for each character then layering those textures apon each other with an alpha channel so each layer was 50 percent transparent showing though to the next layer and the next, allowing the final texture that was saved to pick up any lost information.

I used jasc paint shop pro 6 to do te alpha channel layering.

each texture was made with a different photo, then all three were blended with an alpha channel layering tool, since each one was made from a different photo one texture would blend information into each of the others that the others were missing, I came up with this idea because one single layer seemed to produce mixed results under different lighting situations, but by combining 3 textures I found the textures stood up to the lighting changes and maintained the likeness of the actors.

Amazing images. I have been a die-hard Trekkie since I first discovered it when I was in the 7th grade. I remember the Mylocha hairs. They were some of the first hairs that I used when I first started out. Some of the best hairs ever made.
