THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Terrain exporting

I just exported a terrain from Bryce and found that it was triangulated.  I read that Poser likes quads (I'm sure DS does too).  Will this triagulation cause problems in Poser?

I used quad angulation on the terrain in a modeling program and got 42,000 pixels.  Way too heavy.

Is there a way to get a quad tesselated terrain out of Bryce?  What problems will arise if I use a triangulated terrain in Poser?

Any feedback appreciated.

Use the adaptive triangulation option when exporting it. And it shouldn't cause to many problems, maybe just some UV map adjustments is all I can think of.

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Poser doesn't mind tris at all...only the long, thin kind. FWIW, it doesn't like long thin quads either ;).

Should be fine.

Thank you both!  I didn't know that about the long thin quads.  Much appreciated.
