Subject: Where does Vicky live?

Ho ho ho folks!

I'm after a bit of help.  I've bitten the bullet and bought myself an early Xmas present - a 240GB Kingston HyperX SSD to install in my PC as the system drive.  I have four data drives on my PC, one of which contains about 12 different runtimes for Poser.  I have V4.2 installed into two of these runtimes; wasteful, I know, but sometimes useful.

I am trying to uninstall as much of the junk that accumulates on a C:/ drive over time, so am running CCleaner to identify intalled content.  This had identified more than 20GB of V4.2-related content (Morphs, Muscle Morphs etc), which I am assuming to be located on my C:/ drive.  My thinking is that I must have had a previous runtime installed on the C:/ drive (the PC is five years old and there has been a lot of cider drunk over the years!) and can delete these safely - or am I wrong and do the current runtimes and Poser itself holding V4.2 need whatever data this is to load Vicky?

Any help would be gratefully received as I'm itching to get this baby installed!

My self-build system - Vista 64 on a Kingston 240GB SSD, Asus P5Q Pro MB, Quad 6600 CPU, 8 Gb Geil Black Dragon Ram, CoolerMaster HAF932 full tower chassis, EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti Superclocked 2 Gb, Coolermaster V8 CPU aircooler, Enermax 600W Modular PSU, 240Gb SSD, 2Tb HDD storage, 28" LCD monitor, and more red LEDs than a grown man really needs.....I built it in 2008 and can't afford a new one, yet.....!

My Software - Poser Pro 2012, Photoshop, Bryce 6 and Borderlands......"Catch a  r--i---d-----e-----!"

well I have a mac but provided you have the same morphs and poses on your other runtimes I don't think the V4 stuff has to be installed on a main poser anymore in modern poser versions.  why not back your C drive all up onto an external drive and then let your CCcleaner thingy do it's job then test.

Love esther

PS congrats on the SSD - i haven't got one yet.  bet it will be awesome.

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!

In Poser 7 SR3 and later the fourth generation DAZ figures can be installed to any content library - though it's a very bad idea to have more than one installation, and all morph expansions should certainly be in a single library.

I though it was in a Temple with Sword where she like to walk around naked. ;-)

Incidentally and non-Vicky....  Windows contains its own junk cleaner that amazingly works better than CCleaner.  It sweeps a whole bunch of Windows-owned leftovers.

Just hit the Start button and search for "Disk Cleanup".

I use CCleaner often, and the internal Win cleaner removed 4 GB of crap that CCleaner never touched.

In Poser 2010 Windows 7, I still had a problem with installing Elite in anything but the default 'program Files" directoryfor Poser. So far I haven't had a problem with Poser 2014, but I only startd playing with it a few days ago.
