Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
Hmm No legs you say.
Just tried; for me she works fine in PoserPro 2014 build 20.0.3.26066.
There were some workarounds implemented at the time, like the separate geometries for the helper bones: groin, buttock and breast. These had to be added because Poser needed a geometry to each bone in certian symmetry operations. This may have been solved since.
I use V4WM extensively and have done so since she was available and have updated Poser when that has been available. Not sure what happened to you installation but I have never had a problem irrespective of the which Poser version of release I was using at the time.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

This is a screenshot of the image. No legs but the joint balls. I had to reinstall serial 3 to get it back to normal use as well as clear up the WM runtime folder I made for the conversion. What was odd is that I installed a new v4 to that location so as it wouldn't alter my base character runtime. Once that failed for me, I was gonna fart around with the bullet physics and clothing, when I loaded my untouched V4, legs were gone from it too. So I tried to load it from my wifes external drive, and her content library, it loaded fine the first time, and killed the legs the second time loading. Puzzled the hell outta me.

Or you could try this WM one on our website which is legal too and fits all the clothes pretty well automatically.I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

Having multiple copies of content can mess Poser up, because when it looks for files, it can load files that don't correspond to that copy. I'd make sure you have only one copy of V4 installed on your system and that it's properly initialized using the scripts in the /libraries/!Daz folder.
The weight mapping script and Outfitter simply create new cr2s, and won't affect anything else in your runtime...

The Wisdom of bagginsbill:
"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."Thanks all for the help. I did manage to figure out what happened, after seing an issue for something else. Evidently I had the PMD option checked in the properties area. and when it saved it I guess it screwed up because of that.
Esther: Thanks for the link to the AS WMV4 I have played with it and does hold nicely with clothing. Was finally able to get the Suspender stockings to work well with a couple of extreme poses which racked my brain with Perfect Complete V4.
ShvrDavid:As for the pose temp folder option I beleive it is there, not sure on it's location to turn it on, but if it is in the preferences all I got is a folder location along with options to reset the folder.
WandW: I get that, I had it loaded so it wouldn't alter the original file, wasn't sure how the script worked 100%, The external drive is my wife's content folder, and by utilizing that after the before mentioned problem I can see your valisation of how Poser uses the search and grind out function. Thanks. I am use to multiple copies of content, from modeling stuff and disecting things in Poser, when I feel the need to try and enhance what i have, LOL. Problem is usually it fails terribly.

Ok So I ran the scripts to make the WMV4, went through the process and V4 with no legs popped up. So baffled by this loading up as so, decided to just can the whole thing. OPened up a new scene and v4 which loads as my default, and it loads with no legs now. The obj is still in tact with legs if loaded from the import menu. but anytime I try and load the cr2 I get no legs v4 popping up. I check the menu and the groups are there and selectable but it doesn't show up as selected. I checked visability in the parameters menu and is good as if nothing was wrong. Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?
