I already have Poser Pro 2014.  Poser Debut is now available with "

  • Over 80 fully rigged, fully posable, 3D characters"

Does Poser Debut offer content beyond what is available in Poser Pro 2014 or is it the same content?

The price on Debut is so low, it is tempting to get a copy for the content - if it is conent not included in Poser Pro 2014.

Does anyone know more about this?  If so, what can you advise?

Nothing new with Poser Debut, same old content.  The software has been around for a while and at one time offered for free.  That is how I got my copy.  Stick with PP2014, you got all the power you need.  Debut is very limited.

As hborre said, Poser Debut is very limited, with very few of the features that even Poser 8 has. It's primary purpose was to serve as a cheap introduction to Poser.

It's unlikely that any of the content in Poser Debut is different from that of the later versions of Poser (9/Pro 2012 and up); though I'd ask Smith Micro for specifics of what that included content is.
