Hello friends.  I am trying to inset a selection of face loops on my model.  I want to inset by individual faces, just as the Extrude Individual allows of us.  This is not work.  Every time I select the faces I want inset, and click Inset Polygon, I get error if multiple faces, every time.  There no workaround?  Is it no possible in Blender to inset a group of faces at one time?  Gah!  That disappoints of the modelling tools, if so.

Inset work on multiple faces not in loop ok, but not on this loop selection.  Why?  Invokes error message, which I can not save to post here.  Is there way to save error messages from the Blender?

Saving an errors message not sure if this is the easiest way but if you click on Window Toggle System Console which looks like a windows dos window then right clicking on the window should see several options chose edit>mark that will let you hightlight the text you want to coipy then again right click on the window once you have highlighted the text you want. edit>copy and now it is in your clipboard and you can paste into like notepad or the text window for the forum. Hope that helps sure someone knows a better way to copy the error message

I got the same error. I tell ya a work around that will do the same thing. Set pivot center to individual-> Now extrude individual but don't actually move the faces-> Just right click to drop the faces where they are-> Now just hit S and scale the faces. This should achieve the same effect.

I thank you for all the help.  Oui, the individual extrusion can be used as a substitute for inset, but I am concerned in the case or faces not the same, the result will not yet distributed, as insert can do in other software.
