Subject: Texture for ground

I don't kknow what I'm doing wrong, but for the life of me, I can't get the ground surface to change at all. No matter what I do...change the color, apply a texture...it stays the same transparent gray color. Its frustrating as hell. What am I doing wrong?

Is your ground visible?

Display menu > Guides > Ground Plane
