I dont get it, why cant smith micro (poser) let go of one of there studio's for free like daz studio. I mean think about it, Daz studio 3d has studio 4.6 pro. and it's free. but poser still want's money for there studio's. You can do the same stuff with daz 4.6 pro just like poser 5 and up. Come on poser, let go of one of your poser studio's like poser 5 throu 8. Well that's what i think they should do. I bet alot of ppl would love that.

Giving the software away for free as a loss leader is not Smith Micro's business model. Where Daz gives the software away for free, they definitely make up for the content they sell. Smith Micro doesn't really sell content. Two completely different models.

I understand what you are saying but we are not Smith Micro and we have no control over what they do regarding their software. They do not come onto this site often so they most likely will not see your post here. I suggest contacting them directly with your suggestion.

It would definitely be a loss since SM doesn't broker products from PAs like DAZ and even Rendo do.  Also, while there are quite a few products made by SM on the site, the vast majority are from the Poser 4 era. 

They briefly gave away Poser 5 not too long after I started out (in late 2005).  They've given away a few versions of Poser Debut for brief periods of time. It's been a rare thing with Smith Micro, though.
