Subject: Is there a new version of Poser on the horizon?

I ask because there seems to be a lot of discounting of the software at the moment, so I wonder, does that mean a new version is coming?

Anyone know and can say without breaking any NDAs?

As far as I know, the only new version of Poser in the works is a game content creator's version with FBX features, as Steve Cooper mentioned a few weeks ago in another thread. He also stated there is another service release in the works, but that P10/2014 will be around for a while.

my guess: they'll release PP2016 on or before dec. 21, 2015 (extrapolate from times of prior releases).

PP 2012 was released on 9/20/2011, and I bought PP 2014 on 5/21/2013, so if that trend continues, PP 2016 should be out around 1/19/2015.... 😉

If there is, a purchase now would be an excellent investment to be able to take advantage of the upgrade price as opposed to the new purchase price. Smith Micro really does take care of their old customers.

Game content creator's version sound intriging like keep up with this, with all the mod people make that'll be interesting to see how this develeps
