Subject: Cloth room question

I am trying to make a towel like cloth item to drape and hang off a hand. I am using Poser pro 2012 and so far the only thing I've been successful in is creating a pile of cloth at the models feet or it would stick to V4's leg and hang off it. How do I get it to hang off the hand? Thanks.

It will be easier and faster to use a simple object like a ball to drape the cloth on, and then pose the hand around it.

Try using a constrained grouping on the cloth item.  Go to PhilC's free archives.  He has a set of cloth presets of various cloth types (silk, cotton, ect).  What are using as the towel.  The hi res cloth square prop always gave me some of the better results.

I found trying to drape cloth (the hi-res square) over figures to get somewhat troublesome... maybe it's just me, but I found software like Marvellous Designer way easier to use for that. Obviously no good if you don't have it.

Take a look at my topic here for a little advice on the cloth room settings: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2886417

I'd be very interested to see your results... it's freaky, as I just Googled for dynamic cloth settings for a towel and found nothing, but I stumbled upon this topic simply browsing the forum! How odd that we're both doing the same thing at the same time?! This has happened too often recently, lol!

Just exactly what are you trying to do? This took less than a minute to set up and a few seconds to render.

Perhaps you have 'ignore hand collisions' checked? Also, if it's sliding off the hand, try increasing the friction to make it stick.

Nice to see ya crawling round again hedd. That's roughly the speed of a hand grasp hedd. A third of a second. Same length of time it takes to knock back a shot. hehehehe

For the OP. Collision with the hand set on. Default cloth settings. Simple as that.
