Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 1:08 pm)
The number of image pixels you "see" with your Poser camera will determine whether it is sharp or blurry.
There are two factors that affect this: your camera focal length, and the pixel size of the panoramic image.
2K is so low that you can only use a very low focal length.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
Note that traditionally these images are ONLY for lighting and something to reflect, not to look at.
It is common to place a normal image in front of the camera to look at, mounted on a one-sided square. Since this image only exists where you're looking, it can be rather small while still appearing to have high resolution.

Hi BB
Thanks for reply,really appreciated.
I usually using 25mm or 35mm,75mm focal length I've not used for while, unless I'm doing something like Portrait
And thanks for clarifying about the using single sided primitive, this has been mine misconception or misunderstanding about the using of EnvSphere as background and for lighting too...
On first render I've used 2k probe and tried to use too spherical map(this has have above 4k),but with same results with blurry render...
What is good size for probe or spherical map if I can ask?
In 3ds max those probes or spherical maps working fine and never have issue with them..
Again thanks for reply,really appreciated
Thanks,Jura

Hi guys
Not sure if this has been covered
But here is render, which I've done just,I've tried to set filtering to Crisp or Quality etc plus tried almost everything, but still is not crisp as should or what I've seen what people posted over here
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2877297&page_number=2
Picture on Envsphere is 2048X2048 and is HDR
Is this limitation of EnvSphere or my HDR picture is just too small ?
Render settings are usual: Pixel samples are 6 and Filter is Sinc 3
Thanks for any help guys,Jura
