I just did an illustration for one of my stories, using Poser and a bit of Photoshop, and for some reason it really appeals to me...so I thought I'd toss in into the field here. (The story was published last year in a Japanese lit mag, and I've now added it to my own website, so if you are interested in the story you can see it here: The Naked Detective) It's a rather surreal story, and I think this illustration captures that oddness......

Just read your short story, love it, but no surprise there then.

I came away feeling what I always feel about your work, that's it's infuriating to think how much rubbish gets the limelight, while I can only imagine what your work would achieve in status if you had the 'lucky breaks' others get.  Don't want you to think I'm overdoing it, but I serious, there desperately needs to be more people like you making movies etc, someone with real vision and quirkiness, and an imagination that puts out surrealism like it's the most natural thing in the world.
