Subject: 2 Main cameras in my camera list, and moving scenery instead of moving figure.

I use Poser 7 cos I like the UI, and render with Poser 8 cos it's a little faster.  I started with Poser 3 but don't consider myself by any means to be an expert.

So when something that worked fine for the past umpteen years gives me Problems, my one remaining Grey cell can't help.

Problem:  I have a figure (V4 clone) in a room I built myself.  I want the figure (Body) turned 15 degrees to the left.  So I've selected Figure Body, take my Main camera and using the Body Parameters, I dial up in Y Rotate 15 degrees.  (I use Parameter dials for everything.)

What happens?  the scenery, or my set, rotates 15 degrees but my figure remains fixed.  My lights move with the scenery as well. ! ? !  In my list of Cameras I seem to have TWO Main cameras ? ? ?

I have used my home-made room set many times without any issues.  So what the F*** is going on now?

Ideas would be gratefully received, so thanks in advance.

Dave aka Xartis.

My guess is that you might have the camera parented to Vicky or pointed at her.

Thanks, Red.  I'll check that out.

Also check to see if your "set" is parented to the camera ... or another object.  I've had entire sets parented to the Hair of a figure and messed up myposing something terrible!

Thanks for this one, Boni, it sounds like it's more likely to be something silly, like accidentally clicking somewhere I shouldn't have clicked.

Today I discovered (by loading a second figure into my corrupt file) the second figure behaves perfectly normally.  This narrows things down to the first figure and the set, rather than anything else.

If you are right I'll post a Thank You, it might happen to someone else.

Still have the problem although I have decided to dump this file that is corrupt in some way.  But first I removed the Room Set and just retained the figure.  Removed the floor and kept the default Ground.  Now when I select the figure's body and use my Main Camera Y rotate parameter, it's the default ground that is rotating - not my Figure.

Ho Hum.  Good that I wasn't tempted to dial up any other clones in case this is a medical problem  LOL and all my V4 clones have a heavy cold.

if you are using the posing camera I believe thats what it will look like. The camera stays relative to the figure and it will look like everything else i moving.

Check what camera you are using.
