can't count how many times i forgot to hide body handles before rendering.

isn't there a way to make a wireframe handle show in preview, but won't render?

(compatible for P7)

For Poser 7? I don't think there is a way. For Poser 9+ there is.

IIRC, you'll have to edit the file, manually. I haven't done it in a .cr2, but the commands should be the same as they are for a prop. Changing "visibleinRender" to  "0" does the trick when changed in a prop's file referencing the desired geometry. Just open the file in something like notepad++ and search for "visibileinrender." Then, "next" on through until you see the geometry group you wish to have hidden, I would think.

I don't know if this works in p7 but I've made the handles transparent in the mat room and set their display to outline or comic.
