Subject: Importing Poser Pro Game Dev scenes into Vue

NanetteTredoux ( ) posted Mon, 09 March 2015 at 7:32 AM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 11:17 AM

I am unable to import pz3 files saved from Poser Pro Game Dev in Vue. Vue is unable to initialize the scene.

Has anyone found a way to do this?

The problem seems to be specific to the Game Dev version.

Poser 11 Pro, Windows 10

Auxiliary Apps: Blender 2.79, Vue Complete 2016, Genetica 4 Pro, Gliftex 11 Pro, CorelDraw Suite X6, Comic Life 2, Project Dogwaffle Howler 8, Stitch Witch

I asked e-on about this and they replied that at the moment Vue14.5 Infinite or any Vue's doesn't support Poser Game. However it does support Poser Pro 2014! Cheers

That means that most likely only Vue 2015 will support Poser Game Dev in the future, they usually do that. When the new version is in sight, they stop working on major updated for the current versions. You're left with 2 versions, try to go with your Poser Pro Dev scenes through Poser Pro 2014 or buy the next version of Vue when it's released.

This is a re-occuring problem with Vue, when a new version of Poser comes out, Vue takes ages to support it. It's one of the reason I haven't bought the latest Poser versions and stick to what works well. This way I do avoid running into problems with my work.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

Something that worked for me! I reduced the polygons on models in Poser Game and saved them as pz3's in separate runtime outside the main runtime. In Vue 14.5 Infinite where it says "Configure Poser" I have it pointed to Poser Pro 2014.So far all my models have imported into Vue and saved as .vob's. Cheers

I found out I was missing a Vue update. After installing it, I can now import the scenes.
