If you have something typed into the box ready to post, and then try to paste something onto the end of it, it wipes-out the original text.

If you do a copy and then try to paste all the typing you have already made is replaced by the paste.  So for example, If have thirty lines of text and I decide one line could be better placed in the structure I can cut but as soon as I paste I have only the pasted line and other 29 lines have been sucked into a black hole.

 

 

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

BTW, something I noticed is that this bug only happens on forum posts, there's no such problem with private message posts, so whatever it is, the bug is likely unique to the forum posting input box.

Was reported on the Community Center forum 5th March http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2888796 and Tina said they were working on it...

But it seems to have got worse since then - I tried to cut-and-paste the title from that thread to this post... completely killed the text edit box !

The 3Dcheapskate* occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident.
And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

*also available in ShareCG, DAZ, and HiveWire3D flavours (the DeviantArt and CGBytes flavour have been discontinued).

I was able to paste something today. But, only after I first failed... However, I noticed that I had to "clean" what I ended up pasting. For instance, I copied the contents of the post that I had created, so I could paste in some links and then repaste it as a whole, since I didn't know it was "fixed", and I noticed that unprinted characters were getting pasted/copied. So, I pasted in another app as clean unformatted text and was then able to paste without these non-printing characters showing up.

Thanks for whatever fixes are under construction! We'll see how it goes.

(Firefox, latest version. Flash got updated too, by the way. Getting some weird bugginess with it, but probably unrelated.)

My bad, I'm using ie 11.

I do feel for Web Masters having to deal with multiple browsers n phones ,updates etc etc.I don't envy there job

STILL BROKEN IN FIREFOX.

If I type some text in the window and try to change the order of words by dragging, I get what you see in the screenshot, so I can't see where I'm trying to place it. Dragging seems to have no effect anyway, and moving text by cutting and pasting doesn't work either.

It is also possible, while culling some of the quoted text, to get the cursor stuck inside the quoted text, with no way to get it out to the open space below to begin typing your own message.

Copy/Paste is fixed for me now, in Firefox, but now I'm getting the same problem as Morkonan, I have to go back and start re-inserting line-feeds after a paste, because it strips the line-feeds out of whatever I'm pasting.
