There are two threads with two completely different shaders. Which one are you using?
Note - I'm usually referred to as BB, not BG, and the newer nylon shader is known as BBNylon2.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
Hi, BB ... here is the one I found. (I had it bookmarked) http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2719482&page=1
I think it must be the old one. And ... is this part of the same thing? http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?31736-V4UCFS-Sneak-Preview&highlight=Nylon+Shader
I can't find anything on your BBnylon2 shader, BB. Just tryin' to help. :)

I know where the threads are. I can't answer the question until I know which shader the OP is using.

Also, the reason you can't find anything on bbnylon2 is because the search engine here is moronic.
You have to manually choose "Advanced" instead of "Default" search and then you have to type "1" into the "Older Than" parameter.
The "Default" label should actually say "Don't Find What I'm Looking For".

Thanks for both your replies but I stumbled over the answer at work today while beating the be-jesus out of a different project. I noticed that the difuse value was at zero meaning that no matter what I changed the diffuse colour to, it stayed stubbornly black. Changing the value to 1.00 gave me back control of the colour. All is now happy in my world...if it would stop bloody snowing that is.

I've been playing/fiddling/working/screwing around with BG's excellent nylon shaders but can't change the colour. I've changed all the obvious parameters and still have a dark grey-towards black. I'm now fiddling with the less obvious settings but am getting nowhere. I'd like white, skin tone, beige and a few other lighter colours.
Thanks for any advice.
