Subject: Help Transferring Poser Files

Hello All:

I have a question/problem that I hope someone can help me with.  I have Poser 10 (I bought the CD) and have been using the program for nearly a year.  Over that time I have added and purchased content for the program.

Recently, my computer has become infected with MalWare and it looks like the only fix is to wipe the computer's memory.  Is there a way I can transfer my Poser files to a external hard drive in order to save them prior to the wipe?  If so, which files should I transfer and where are these files located on my computer?

Thanks,

Sean

Transferring runtime folders will do the trick.  However, you did not detail whether you created external runtimes or still installing content into the main Poser runtime.  If you are using the main folder, then transferring it will not present a problem.  If you are using separate, external runtimes, you will need to relink them to Poser once your system is reformatted and stable.

If your system is infected to that level, you need to consider if any poser/runtime files are infected.

How did you determine a reload was needed ? did you try www.bleepingcomputers.com or similar for assistance.
