 Yeah. I would have thought there would be more on them, but most of the pics are concept art. And they pretty much sealed all the leaks by having them stop flying drones over the studio. I want to see more angles so I can get an idea of what they look like. So far, all I find are helmets...

I wonder if they have improved the armour so that it actually offers some protection against....any weapon... ;)

Does anyone know about the spin-off movie that's supposed to be in production as well?

Last I heard they were making a series about Rogue Squadron - separate from the main storyline. The first movie is supposed to come out next year. But I can't seem to find much about it.

ETA: I think it's pretty cool they're filming Ep7 in Aub Dhabi, as I lived there for 3 years back in the 90s. Excellent place for shots of Tattooine.

Rogue Squadron is a go, but the storyline has not been revealed quite yet.

From what I just managed to google, there is also a Boba Fett movie in the works.

Rogue Squadron is set for 2020. Boba Fett is either next year or 2017/18. And there's a Han Solo movie in that list as well. I suspect the Boba Fett and Han Solo movies will be connected. Hmm. they could either get a new actor and have him play a young version of Solo, or they do what they did in the remake of tron and the new terminator and put a younger Harrison Ford face on him. Should be interesting to see how this all turns out.

 I imagine that they will probably get a younger version of Han Solo, since Harrison Ford is getting up there in age. If they keep the current timeline, though...

I think that one would be a hard sell. Harrison Ford has been associated with Han Solo for more than 30 years. People would have a hard time seeing anyone else in the role. 

 

EDIT: look what putting someone else in the role did to the first Batman movies. When Michael Keaton didn't come back, it was over for the franchise.

They got a new Spock and Captain Kirk. I haven't seen those films (never been much of a trek fan) but they seem to have done pretty well so far.

And I strongly suspect the original 3 SW films will be remade within the next 10 years. It is Disney after all. Tho Fox owns rights to the original, I'm sure if Disney offered enough $$ they would sell.

From what I just read, Boba Fett and Han Solo films are supposed to take place in between the original chapters. So they would have to go with a CG paste-over to keep it congruent. Course I'm sure much of that is speculation since Disney has not released any official word.

They could get the kid that played boba in Ep2 to play him now, since he should be grown by now.

 Speaking of that kid... the kid who played young Anakin was arrested for beating the crap out of his mother. Apparently, he is suffering from Schizophrenia. He got it at 19.

Yeah, he was arrested here in SC recently for speeding. Hadn't heard of the deal with his mom.
