Subject: Forgot the subject? Forget the whole thing!

If you start a thread and forget to enter the subject text, it says:

Error! You must enter a body and subject for your thread.

Only thing is - I did enter a body, but now it got ERASED.

Rendo programmer - always outdoes himself by infuriating me more than ever before.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

what doesn't have a subject, possibly can't be important.

Same thing in the gallery. Accidentally overlook one thing in trying to navigate the maze now there? START OVER BECAUSE WE ERASED EVERYTHING!

Their site "developer" needs to be taken to the woodpile for a serious lesson or two...

Its so annoying trying to upload an image now 4 attempts last night mainly problems with thumbnail and every time having to retype or the fields again WHY on earth is that necessary???.Then the recomended for me that I find totally insulting all of them are photos of naked women which is all very well but 1 they are from artists Ive never looked at and galleries that ive never looked at I look at mainly vue and poser and DAZ studio so how was that arrived at?? If I wanted to be directed to a porn site i would go and find one .Where is the information when a favoured artist uploads an image ? no emails anymore? As a lesson on how to wreck a website its superb!

Let me clarify! You ARE able to edit the title name. All you have to do is just type something in the text box and it will work.

Please let me know if you have anymore concerns. Thanks so much!

My concern is the obvious lack of competence in the 'Rosity support staff along with the cock up of the new site.

Before I retired, I ran larger organizations than 'Rosity - All of you would have been kicked to the curb so hard you would have bounced.

I don't have to shop here - there are other storefronts that are easier to navigate. And it isn't like anything sold here is earth shatteringly unique.

Well, hopeandlove, I do hope you're just pretending to misunderstand, but EDITING the title of a forum post had absolutely nothing to do with the original post.

and no mention of the other concerns despite the quote"Please let me know if you have anymore concerns. Thanks so much!"

I agree with what has been said - having everything erased and needing to restart for a minor error or one missed tickbox is infuriating. I spent 2 hours one night just trying to upload 1 image because I had to keep restarting (missed something different each time). Granted I haven't actually done any web coding since back around 2001 and things have changed, but I know form data and responses can be held between pages.

I got brave and decided to test the waters and upload an image. I figure this will give me more information about receiving e-bots and about how the system is working.

Having followed the Forum threads and memorizing the pitfalls, I very carefully sized an image, made a thumbnail, made sure I checked all the appropriate boxes. I hit "preview," and saw my image with the accompanying text. Okay, the text shows up with no paragraph breaks, but it was there. I did an edit, saved changes, and saw that my image was there but my text edit hadn't updated. Hit edit again, pasted the text I had so cleverly copied before it was too late, saved, and saw my image with the new, edited text. That was somewhere around 6:07 PDT. It is now 6:27 PDT ... 20 minutes later ... and my picture isn't in the galleries. It isn't in my gallery. It isn't there when I go to the Photography Gallery and look at the first page. Where did it go?

And before you ask, Hope, I'm using the current IE browser. That's the same one my husband uses (he's bmac62) and he just posted a picture that took a while, but eventually appeared.

???

Oh. I purposely chose an image that I could add to one of my albums. My albums are accessible ... I can see them when I go to my album page, and even though there are no cover images at all, the images all appear to be there. So when I was posting my new picture, I tried to add it to the appropriate album, and there were no albums from which to choose. So I can now look at my albums, but can't add to them.

Update!! It's now 6:34 PDT, and I just checked again, and my picture has been posted. Something less than half an hour.

Wow.
