Subject: What's up with e-mail verification request?

I just received a verification request for my e-mail address here. This comes after I reduced my Wishlist from 27 pages to a single page and vowing to shop much less here. It also comes after I posted a thread at the Community forum yesterday entitled "Say Goodnight, Gracie" and it was soon removed (I know it was there because I checked later). I have logged in and out several times using Opera and Firefox. But I had mentioned that I use Safari, and Safari is the only browser to come up with the message below. I checked my profile, and it has my correct e-mail address and only requires me change it if it needs updating. What gives?

I'm unsure why the system would need you to do this. I'm looking into this. :)
