Subject: Aging morphs?

scottl ( ) posted Mon, 19 October 2015 at 12:04 AM · edited Sun, 06 October 2024 at 4:02 PM

...since a world is populated by all different ages I don't want to be using just young characters but it seems that's the vast majority. Yes I`ve seen there are a few older characters but a vcery few. What I really need is an aging morph. have I missed it somehow....or if not then is there some way to age characters? change the skin maps? Thanks guys for any ideas.

a simple search at DAZ provides

http://www.daz3d.com/aging-morphs-2-for-genesis-2-male-s-m6-hd

http://www.daz3d.com/aging-morphs-2-for-genesis-2-female-s-v6-hd

http://www.daz3d.com/aging-details-hd-for-genesis-aging-morphs

http://www.daz3d.com/1-click-v4-age-injector

Several vendors here create older or elderly textures that can be applied to any base figure it fits... Please see https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/?uid=558334

Good luck!

Isn't there an aging or OLD morph dial in V4 BODY set? Maybe you will need to get the V4 Morphs++ morph pack. I find it quite useful and worth the money if you have not yet gotten it and needed if you think of using the Creature Creator Moprhs which I have used since her release and are great! You may also need this Morphs++ set to use the free aged or aging morphs at ShareCG and many other free character morphs out there.

Many fo Poser too scottl Actually those on Share CG are also for Poser:

Good luck!

There is also this one at Daz: http://www.daz3d.com/aged-for-v4-m4 As well as a few specific older characters, if you want to invest that much. There is Agnes here: https://www.daz3d.com/agnes ...and some others I can't remember the names of , but they're in there somewhere. This free pack from sharecg has an aging morph: http://www.sharecg.com/v/58061/gallery/11/Poser/182-Morphs-for-Victoria-4 (The morphs work on M4 too but the body morph is distinctly feminine.)

Thanks, that may work, it looks like you can dial between old and young to get varying degrees of age. Its not that I need just one character but to be able to make the characters all diff ages. There isnt a world of just young people, no matter what marketing tells us.

Thanks for the help, not needing oneoff of an old person but was wondering if there was a morph that let you dial in a variable age, like making characters of varying ages and all. Merry Christmas

Since this is in the new users forum, I have to ask: Are you aware that any morph can be dialed to varying degrees and mixed with others? (I wasn't at first.) If it doesn't automatically create a dial, you have to spawn one. I think you can get what you're looking for from the free sets mentioned above. The set "Life: A Journey" has a head morph that is very similar to the one in the Aged set from Daz, you just have to spawn it as a morph target and dial it to the degree you want. The "Maturing" set has an entirely different set of face morphs, which is nice to combine with the other for more variety (people don't all age in the same way.) The set from DieTrying has a full body aging morph. They all work on M4 as well (except the body morph gives him breasts, I've tried it.) I have the Aged set from Daz (not free), it has a head morph and a hand morph, and comes with textures. I would post a picture but I'm still not so good and rendering and stuff.

I know this thread is aging now, but to answer your question scottl, that's exactly what I did with the gallery image here:

https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/looking-back/2634523/

The two characters are the same but with dial adjustments....hope this helps :)
