Subject: how to get glowing aura around a flame

Michaelab ( ) posted Tue, 20 October 2015 at 7:23 AM · edited Sun, 21 April 2024 at 4:56 AM

I have a single flame but I'm not getting the glowing aura around the entire flame, only the yellow part as can be seen in the screen shot (and I have included the blend file for those who'd like to take a look).

What I'm wanting is the aura to emanate from all colors of the flame and extend further from the flame itself. Any help would be great.

Have a look at this realistic fire tutorial. It uses emitters, glow node, and other creative tips, to produce a convincing fire effect. Might be useful to you here.
