I think your programmer(s) should check that someone is actually a prime member before they put the little suggestion that you are X dollars away from getting your prime gift certificate. I was once a member, but I decided the new version wasn't for me, so it might be showing this way only for those who once were members.

What Prime gift certificate? Are you talking about render rewards? That has nothing to do with Prime..

Render rewards aren't related to prime? I always that it was one of the perks of being a prime member. I guess I was mistaken!

Nope, render rewards are for anyone that shops for more than 100 dollars per month, but while regular customers get a 5% gift certificate, Prime members get 7%
