Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
No. Unless you convert it to .obj. I'm only guessing but seriously doubt Poser 4 would be able to open a DS proprietary object file.

DSF or DUF files? There is the DSON or DAZ Scene Object Notation but I don't know of a DSO file. Dimension3D has a free script on his site. It won't work on P4. You need P9 or better and the free DSON importer script from DAZ. D3D also has the DSF toolbox over at DAZ that will convert DSF to obj files. It's stand alone but DSF, DUF and DSON are all DS4 files. These are many versions removed from P4 so I'm not sure how well the conversions would work.
.dso was the geometry format for .daz scene files (along with .dsv for UV sets and .dsd for morph deltas). On its own I'm not sure it has enough information to be useful, nor am I sure you could load it into DS (possibly via a script). If you ahve the original .daz file too you could load that into the current version of DS (probably, it would depend how old it was) and export as OBJ for Poser.

Is it possible to open DSO extension files in Poser 4? That's the format for some Renderosity downloads.
