Subject: Morph questions

AprilYSH ( ) posted Mon, 07 May 2001 at 9:29 PM · edited Mon, 22 July 2024 at 2:06 PM

Got three questions.... 1. I've been muckin around with magnets to create my own faces. Then spawned morph and saved the new face in my figures library. (Thanks for the help on that Cheryle and Duane. g) I have not included morphs done by other people. Now, what do I export or save so I can share these faces? I'm not sure what I'm not allowed to include so people who haven't bought such and such can't use it. (But then I am only using default poser 4 female and male figures thus far. I just want to know in future if I do a morph on a figure that's not free.) 2. Why is it preferable to offer morphs rather than the magnets or waves themselves? 3. And another question, I can only save a spawned morph if all other dials are set to zero. What if my magnet morph requires me to change the x and y trans of the eyeballs, for example, or the y scale of the head. How do I save that along with my morph so it loads to a new figure all together? Thanks muchly

  1. You need to strip the morph down to just the "v" section. You can do this in a text editor or use Bushi's Morph Squeeze to do it. 2. The morph represents what you intend? 3. You can do this with ERC.

  1. you export in your case only the head in obj format. The morph you made will only fit the orig char it was made for. You couldnt use your p4 morph on Mike because the base geometries are different. The vertices don't match ... ( i think i read that right,.. if that is what you are asking...) 2) i am an idiot- i would rather click a morph dial cause i know how to do that, rather than have to figure out how to make the magnet work correctly - too many dials etc and ;) magnets and waves are scary :) 3) no clue :D

ok, thanks :) -- so i've got two options on the first one. i was asking the second question cos magnets offer wider control than morph targets... but i'm comparing apples and oranges i guess! so, what's ERC?
